“A good snapshot keeps a moment from running away.”
Eudora Welty

Since when I was a little girl, my dad used to bring me to see art exhibitions, so we spent a lot of weekends in art galleries, in museums, and planning the next trip to an art city. For me these were the most incredible days in my life, I was too young to understand the meaning of the art, I was too little to appreciate the quality of a good painting, but I remember that I wasn’t too little to remember the enthusiasm and the passion in my dad’s eyes when he saw his favourite painting of Monet at The Louvre Museum in Paris. Click. It was just like that, and I can still describe everything that happened in that moment. Capturing the moment is something very unique, it’s an opportunity to save that moment, that memory forever, how great is it?

These are the photographers, thanks to their passion, they have the courage to visit places, to discover difficult realities, they are the heroes in the photojournalism.
Others who made the history in the portrait photography as Richard Avedon and the documentary photography such as the great Dorothea Lange
To capture the moment, it doesn’t matter who you’re, or why you do it, as long as you’ve the passion in what you’re doing, as long as you feel comfortable with it, there is no reason to stop. So live your life now, enjoy the happy moments now, take pictures and try to do what makes you feel free. I think there are always some pictures in hour head that we want to keep forever and I think one of the greatest things is to have the opportunity to immortalize some of them.

“You don’t make a photograph just with a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you’ve seen, the books you have read, the music you’ve heard, the people you’ve loved.” Ansel Adams

What we do defines us, the past defined us, the people that we meet bring something in our lives. There are always going to be hard and happy times, but I believe that there is always a second chance, a chance to believe in a better future, in a better world, a chance to be happy.
